Now that I'm getting back from vacation, things should settle into a normal routine again. There are a few things cooking at the moment.
Remember the time I said I was going to cover The Long and Winding Road by The Beatles? I lied. Not really, but I started listening to John Mayer again. I think he's a fantastic songwriter, and I just feel like covering another one of his songs (you can check out my rendition of Heart of Life here). I decided on Love Is a Verb, which is from the Born and Raised album, released last year. Like a lot of great songs, this one has a simple set of chords and an effective lyric to match. It doesn’t try to be too complicated. Keep an eye out for my cover of it later this upcoming week.
I've also recently gotten involved in a few other projects - a couple games and a short film. My involvement in all of them is still at the earliest stages, so I'll have more to talk about as they progress.
Lastly, I've been working on some articles to provide a little detail about the tools that I use when recording and mixing. I always find it interesting to read real-world uses for plugins and gear, so hopefully I can also be of some help to those who need it.
And that's all I have to say about that.
